Equor Foundation provides equine-assisted, nature-based and non-clinical well-being support for uniformed personnel and their families. If you’re considering support for yourself or someone else, please get in touch, whether you’re ready to apply or simply want to talk things through first.

What to expect
Who this support is for
- Serving and former members of the emergency services and armed forces.
- Family members affected by the demands of service life.
- People experiencing ongoing stress, trauma, burnout, or difficulty recovering after challenging events.
You don’t need a diagnosis, referral letter, or be at crisis point to get support.
Who can apply or refer
Applications and referrals can come from:
- Individuals themselves.
- Family members.
- Line managers or supervisors
- Organisations or support services.
What happens next
After we receive a referral or application:
- We’ll acknowledge it and make contact.
- We’ll arrange a brief conversation to understand what’s needed and answer any questions.
- If the support feels appropriate, we’ll talk through next steps and availability.
There’s no obligation to continue beyond this initial conversation.
What happens next
Support takes place through equine-assisted and nature-based experiences, facilitated by experienced practitioners in a calm outdoor setting.
- One-to-one or in small groups.
- Non-clinical and non-judgemental.
- Focused on awareness, regulation, and restoring steadiness.
There’s no pressure to talk about personal experiences or to revisit difficult events.
What this support is not
Equor Foundation does not offer:
- Clinical therapy or diagnosis.
- Crisis or emergency services.
- Any expectation to disclose or retell traumatic events.
There’s no obligation to continue beyond this initial conversation.
Confidentiality and safety
Sessions are delivered with clear boundaries around confidentiality, safeguarding and welfare – for both participants and horses. Our practitioners are experienced in working with uniformed personnel and operate within robust safeguarding and equine welfare frameworks.
